It’s that time of the year where people make their resolutions and give up, time and again.
You’ve listed “Go out on a family vacation” yet again. But each year, you feel overwhelmed because of just how many places you can choose to go to. Between planning the itinerary of your destination to worrying about managing your pet, you find yourself exhausted and tell yourself, next season.

Here’s where we come to play. At Collarfolk, we screen all the locations so that we can provide both you and your pet with a memorable experience. We’ll make sure that with the new year, a new you is born.

The Republic Day Weekend – Jan 26 – 29

You’re dreading the notion of going back to work after a day that symbolizes our integrity? Be a bit more different this year and take a trip to Kasol, one of the most iconic tourist destinations in Nothern India. Known for it’s breathtaking scenery and it’s lush “greenery”, Kasol welcomes those who think freely with open arms. The “high” altitudes will make it a challenge for both you and your pet trudge through the snow to make for a memorable experience.

You can also plan a visit to Goa. Home to the most stunning beaches and Churches, relax as this tiny, yet lively region brings out the best in you. Relax in a hammock at a beach as your pet burrows through the sand and enjoys the majestic ocean(or snarls at it).

For peeps from Bangalore, who don’t want to spend a lot of time travelling to the north, “brew a plot” to pamper yourself and visit Coorg, home to some of the best coffee plantations in this country. Described as India’s very own Scotland, it’s lush greenery and verdant plantations are the perfect way to wind up the month in this new year.
Walk with your pet through these plantations as the fresh aroma of Coffee Leaves envelops every nook and cranny of this beautiful valley.

Take the Friday off and enjoy yourself.

The Mahashivratri Weekend –  Feb 24 – 26

February may be the shortest month of the year, but you can make time to visit the “Pink City”.  While the Sun might put a dampner on your plans to visit Jaipur’s beautiful forts, the month of February shrouds those forts with winter mist that adds to the air of mystery. Walk the streets of Jaipur with your pet as you explore some of the most beautiful architectural structures that exist.

For a sweet and short trip, you can also take a trip to the west and visit Mahabaleshwar, home to the largest strawberry farms in India. With the fog draping the hills like a veil, you’ll be left dazzled as the hikes titillate and challenge you. This is also the perfect time to visit as the season for plucking strawberries draws to a close. Unlike the strawberries, nothing about the hike is sweet, yet you and your pet will remember it forever.
(Psst – Don’t be afraid to ask the locals for a couple of fresh strawberries.)

For a more tropical visit, we highly recommend Pondicherry, the quaint french town that people can’t get enough of. Known for it’s heritage sites, it’s beautiful beaches and authentic french cuisine, it will wash away all of your worries as you step into some of the most homely beach houses this country can offer. Relax as your pet runs across the beach chasing a coconut rocked by the waves, simply because it’s moving.

Leave on the evening of Thursday, and relax as March comes knocking.

The Holi Weekend – March 11 – 13

Holi is a festival known for it’s vibrancy. However, sometimes we end up faking a smile as our over eager neighbours douse us in sticky colours and icy water that puts us off ease.
This year, plan something a little different. Opt out of playing Holi in the conventional sense and take the Aquaterra Challenge. This is Asia’s first Adventure Challenge with Pets!
